GQG Partners Announces New US Equity Strategy, Launches GQG Partners US Select Quality Equity Fund

FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. — September 28, 2018 — GQG Partners LLC, a leading global equity investment boutique, is pleased to announce the launch of the GQG Partners US Select Quality Equity Fund (Institutional Class: GQEIX, Investor Class: GQEPX, and R61 Class: GQERX). The long-only Fund will be managed by noted investor Rajiv Jain, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of GQG Partners.

The Fund seeks to invest in a concentrated group of high-quality US companies that GQG Partners believes are reasonably priced relative to market valuations and projections. In managing the Fund’s investments, Mr. Jain will typically pursue a “growth style” of investing through which it seeks to capture market upside while limiting downside risk through full market cycles.

Despite being a new strategy for his firm, Mr. Jain notes that he has been managing global equity portfolios (inclusive of the United States) since 2002 and the widely recognized global equity benchmark MSCI All Country World Index (ACWI) was majority 55.3% United States equity as of August 31, 2018. In fact, United States exposure is an important component of his existing strategies, as well — GQG Partners already invests US$3.9 billion in United States equity securities firmwide as of June 30, 2018.

“If you’re willing to take a concentrated, forward-looking view, this is an area we believe we can add value,” says Mr. Jain of his confidence that US equity can be a competitive product. “You can’t just look like an index and offer historical data without demonstrating some forward-looking element and charge above-passive fees.”
