Investment Objective

The GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund aims to seek long-term capital appreciation by investing directly or indirectly in equity securities and equity-linked securities anywhere in the world that GQG Partners believes can sustain long-term earnings growth and are available at a reasonable price. The objective of the Fund is to provide a rate of return (after fees and expenses and before taxes) which exceeds the return of the MSCI Emerging Markets ex Tobacco Index (AUD).

Strategy Overview

The GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund is a managed fund available to wholesale clients domiciled in Australia and wholesale investors domiciled in New Zealand. The Fund seeks to invest in high-quality companies with attractively priced future growth prospects in emerging markets. GQG Partners’ fundamental investment process evaluates each business based on financial strength, sustainability of earnings growth, and quality of management. The Fund seeks to limit downside risk whilst providing attractive returns to long-term investors over a full market cycle.

The MSCI Emerging Markets ex Tobacco Index (AUD) is a custom index calculated by MSCI for, and as requested by, GQG. It is based on the MSCI Emerging Markets Index, its parent index, which is designed to measure equity market performance in emerging markets. The Index excludes companies from the parent index with significant business activities involving tobacco. Constituent selection is based on data from MSCI ESG Research. The Index is denominated in Australian dollars and is unmanaged. It is not possible to invest directly in an index.
