Junior Trader — Global

We need a junior trader to join our team. This position is an ideal entry point to GQG as the third seat on our trading desk. This dynamic team member’s responsibilities will range from the day-to-day activity of executing trades around the globe to participating/leading strategic initiatives as we continue to grow our organization.

Trading & Execution (80%)

Model trades on OMS

Execute trades approved by PM focused on best execution

Collaborate with Compliance to test compliance guideline restrictions and manage trading function within the rules

Assist with management of trading related vendors as assigned (example: Bloomberg, OMS)

Collaborate with other Trader(s):

  • Highly detail oriented, Back checking all order entries
  • Onboarding of new brokers
    • Ensure system (OMS) readiness prior to trading
    • Communicate status to stakeholders (e.g., CIO, analysts)

Collaborate with Operations Team

  • Daily Trade Processing

FX Trading: Monitoring & executing FX exposure


Market Insight (20%)

Help prepare daily market insights for the firm

Maintain current market knowledge on GQG’s core names, working with CIO & analysts to stay in front of all conforming & non-conforming data points for our investment thesis



  • Trading experience
    • 2 – 4 years long-only trading global equity securities through all venues – including securities with limited volume
    • Knowledge of electronic / algorithmic trading
  • Operations experience & strong understanding of order flow a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Expert in the nuances of Global Markets
  • Knowledge of market structure
  • Excellent reputation with the street and management of broker relationships
  • Calm under pressure
  • Detail oriented, accurate, timely, responsive
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion is required
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Polished and professional demeanor and appearance in all situations
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal
  • Experience considered a plus:
    • Eze OMS
    • Bloomberg
